Today...

... I'm eight weeks pregnant. I can't wait to be out of this high-risk stage.

I did 60 transactions all on my lonesome today! It's the busiest we've been since I started work. I just wanted to put my head down on the desk and sleep but people kept coming and coming and coming!! I guess it's good, in some ways, while tiring it does make the day go that little bit faster.

My back's aching something shocking.

The idea of twins is growing on me - at least, if it were to be a boy and a girl, I don't think I would want to have two boys or two girls to start off with. James is really taken with my swollen belly - we can tell the difference even if no one else is. He is always touching it and talking to 'our twins'. It's so beautiful. I love that he worries and looks after us - he's going to be such a great dad.

Mum Told

Mum told Nan and Gramps Smith about the baby. I was pretty nervous about everyone finding out, but they rang and told me they love me, so that was positive.

Christmas Cheer Gone Wrong :(

I am not feeling good at all today. I’ve come home from work, I just couldn’t stay. I’m feeling so sick and having pains.

Too Tired to Think of a Title

Yesterday I worked in the Narooma office and because it’s a stand-up counter my back is killing me.

Officially

I was talking to Mum today about the wedding and mentioned we might have to do it earlier. All I said was that we might have more issues to take into account than we first thought and she said “Are you pregnant?” to which I simply said yes and as she had to go she demanded I ring her back in 10 minutes to discuss matters. When I called back she made me wait while she rang dad so he could hear all the news, too.

First Symptoms

Over the past few days I have started to feel queezy most of the day - morning sickness? What a lie. All-Day, All-Night sickness? That's the one!!

My back is also starting to hurt a little and I guess I have started to pee more than normal, but I can't be sure about that as I never really thought about how often I had to go....

I realise all these things point to me really actually being pregnant, but kind of am not sure if I believe it yet or not. I feel like I need to get an official positive before I can really get my head around it. Of course, I want it to be positive. Very much and I think that's why I wont let myself think otherwise yet. It's weird to want this so much when a week or two ago something like this really wouldn't have crossed my mind.

Our Decision

We've been looking over the dates Gerri emailed back to us and have decided on the 23rd to the 28th of March at Seashells Resort. We'd get married on Sunday the 25th. We just have to look into our flights, book them and get back to her with a formal booking.

So Much Blood!

I had my blood test done today. I really had to psyche myself up for it, too. I told myslef it would just be a moment and it wouldn't hurt.

But, Oh My Gosh! I have never seen so much blood. I thought I was going to die. I sat there for ages as she filled vial after vial, it was horrendous! The lady doing it said that by the time I have my baby I will be so used to needles that it wont faze me in the least to have to get one. Yea, right!!

I don't know how long the results will take, hopefully not long. I really would like to know, but for now I will live like I am just to be on the safe side.

First Drs Appointment

I was so nervous going in. My doctor's a bit strange ... or maybe we just don't click, I don't know. I have to have a bloodtest to confirm I'm pregnant - yay, oh how I love needles :S

If I am then I am 5 weeks gone and due on the 10th of August. How crazy, to think I might be a mum!!

Broome Dates?

I've emailed Gerri from Broome weddings to see if there would be earlier dates if required. I'm worried we wont be able to do it on short notice.
